Start the new year on the Nile. You board a deluxe Nile cruise ship in Luxor on the afternoon of 31 December, visit Karnak and Luxor Temple the same day, and sail south to Aswan over four nights with full board and a gala dinner on board.
Your Egyptologist guide takes you through the West Bank of Luxor, Edfu, Kom Ombo, the Aswan High Dam and Philae Temple, and the last afternoon in Aswan is free on board before you check out on 4 January.

Arrival in Luxor and the East Bank temples
Thursday, 31 December 2026
Check in to your Nile cruise ship in the afternoon and settle into your cabin. Visit Karnak Temple, the vast complex known for its monumental columns and courtyards, then Luxor Temple in the heart of the city. Return to the ship for dinner and your first night on board in Luxor. - Day2
Luxor West Bank and sailing to Edfu
Friday, 1 January 2027
After breakfast, visit Luxor's West Bank: the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the ship in time for its departure at around 2:00 PM and sail towards Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board near Edfu. - Day3
Edfu, Kom Ombo and sailing to Aswan
Saturday, 2 January 2027
In the morning, visit Edfu Temple, dedicated to Horus and known for its remarkably preserved architecture and reliefs. Sail on to Kom Ombo to visit the riverside double temple of Sobek and Horus, then continue towards Aswan. Dinner and overnight on board in Aswan. - Day4
Aswan High Dam and Philae Temple
Sunday, 3 January 2027
After breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam, followed by a motorboat ride to Philae Temple on Agilkia Island. Return to the ship and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure on board. Dinner and your last night on board in Aswan. - Day5

Enjoy breakfast on board, then check out from the cruise ship and transfer for your onward journey.

You choose between two deluxe Nile cruise ships on the Luxor to Aswan route; the price table shows both. The visits are the same on either ship.
Are flights included?
No. International and domestic flights are not included. We can arrange a flight to Luxor and travel on from Aswan; tell us when you enquire.
Can we add Abu Simbel?
Yes. Abu Simbel is not part of this programme, but an early-morning excursion from Aswan can be added on 3 or 4 January; ask us for the supplement.
