Overview
This is the slow version of Egypt. You start with three nights on the Red Sea, settling into a 5-star all-inclusive resort in Hurghada, then drive to Luxor on Monday morning to board a 5-star all-inclusive Nile cruise ship for a full week on the river: Luxor to Edfu, on to Aswan, and back to Luxor at the pace of the Nile. Four more nights in Hurghada close the holiday.
The sightseeing is deliberately light. You see the headline sites, the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Edfu, the High Dam and Philae, with your own guide, and the other days are yours for the sun deck or the beach. Everything between the airport and the ship is private, and the Hurghada to Luxor transfers are offered free of charge.

How is the time split between Hurghada and the Nile?
Three nights in Hurghada, seven nights on the Nile cruise, then four nights in Hurghada: 15 days and 14 nights in total.
Are there any flights inside Egypt?
No. Hurghada and Luxor are about four hours apart by road, and the private transfers in both directions are included at no extra charge.
Which days do we actually go sightseeing?
Tuesday (Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut Temple), Wednesday (Edfu Temple) and Friday (the High Dam and Philae Temple), each with your own guide. The other cruise days are sailing days.
Is the cruise all-inclusive like the resort?
The cruise is all-inclusive as offered by the ship, which usually covers meals and a selection of drinks on board. We confirm the exact terms of the vessel when we book it.
Can we add Kom Ombo or a hot air balloon ride?
Yes. Kom Ombo Temple and the sunrise balloon over Luxor are not included but can be added; tell us when you enquire and we will quote them.
