Where is Dolphin House located?
Dolphin House (Sha'ab El Erg) is a horseshoe-shaped coral reef in the Red Sea, about 60–90 minutes by boat from Hurghada Marina. Its shallow lagoon is a natural resting place for wild spinner and bottlenose dolphins, which is how the reef earned its name.
Am I guaranteed to see dolphins?
Dolphins are wild animals, so sightings can never be 100% guaranteed. However, Sha'ab El Erg is their natural habitat and resting area, so they are spotted on the vast majority of trips — often swimming right alongside snorkelers.
Can I swim with the dolphins?
Yes, when dolphins are present you can snorkel near them in open water under your guide's supervision. We follow responsible wildlife rules: no touching, no chasing, and keeping a respectful distance so the dolphins stay relaxed and curious.
How long does the trip last?
It's a full-day trip of around 7–8 hours, usually from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, including hotel transfers, two to three snorkeling stops at the reef, and lunch on board the boat.
What is included in the price?
The trip includes hotel pickup and drop-off, the boat trip, snorkeling equipment (mask, snorkel, and fins), a professional guide, an open-buffet lunch, and soft drinks and water. National park or environmental fees may be paid separately depending on the package.
Do I need to be a good swimmer?
No. Life jackets are provided free of charge and the guides assist beginners in the water. Non-swimmers can still enjoy the boat, the lagoon's shallow areas, and watching the dolphins from the deck.
Is the trip suitable for children?
Yes. The trip is family-friendly and children are welcome. Kid-sized snorkeling gear and life jackets are available on board, and the lagoon's calm, shallow water is ideal for young snorkelers.
What else can I see besides dolphins?
Sha'ab El Erg is a living coral reef teeming with marine life — expect clownfish, parrotfish, butterflyfish, moray eels, and sometimes sea turtles and rays across the snorkeling stops.
What should I bring with me?
Bring your swimsuit, a towel, reef-safe sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and some cash for optional extras such as underwater photos or souvenirs. A waterproof camera or phone case is highly recommended.
What time is hotel pickup?
Pickup is usually between 7:00 and 8:00 AM depending on your hotel's location in Hurghada, El Gouna, Makadi Bay, or Sahl Hasheesh. The exact time is confirmed a day before the trip.
Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?
