Your tour begins with a pickup from your hotel or cruise in Aswan. The first stop is the Aswan High Dam, a colossal rock-fill dam built in the 1960s. Standing atop the dam, you will enjoy panoramic views of Lake Nasser (the world's largest man-made lake) on one side and the Nile River on the other.Next, we visit the Unfinished Obelisk, located in the northern quarries of ancient Egypt. This site reveals the secrets of how ancient Egyptians cut and shaped stone. If finished, this obelisk would have been the heaviest single piece of stone ever fashioned, weighing over 1,000 tons.The highlight of the day is a short motorboat ride to Agilkia Island to visit the beautiful Philae Temple.
